About SouthWind Boats
You can expect versatility, quality, comfort, spacious passenger and cargo room, commanding power, a smooth ride, responsive handling, ease of maintenance, fuel efficiency, and safety. But what you get goes beyond all expectations.
Whether swimming, tubing, skiing, fishing, or just soaking up the views, SouthWind Boats will take you there. No limitations, anything is possible. Not just another deck boat, SouthWind Boats is a better choice.
Quick Release Radius Bimini Top
SouthWind Boats deluxe bimini tops are without a doubt the sturdiest and most attractive in the industry. The radius top frame adds much to its stylish good looks and allows easy run-off of water (no puddling). The top is high enough so that even a very tall person can walk under it without ducking.
Rails Construction
Unlike many of our competitors, SouthWind Boats rails are welded before anodizing, not after. This results in a stronger, smoother weld that will not discolor from oxidation. SouthWind Boats rails are also welded on four sides, not two, wherever possible. SouthWind Boats rails are 1 1/4" (not 1"); .080" thick (not .060"). The rails are anchored to the frame of the boat (not the wood deck) wherever possible. Our inside rail supports are solid rather than hollow to ensure the sturdiest rails in the industry.
Rattle-free Rails
A special sealing tape on the perimeter of all SouthWind Boats rail panels ensures a quiet, rattle-free ride.
Stainless Steel Hardware
All SouthWind Boats are built with corrosion resistant Stainless Steel hardware. Including: Grab rails, cleats, i ttings, bow/stern eye, ladders, hinges and latches.
Wiring
Every boat has a main wiring harness that is designed specifically for that model, and every wiring harness features marine grade, waterproof Deutsch connectors. Some boat manufacturers use quality connectors only in areas that can be seen in order to say they have an “advanced electrical system.” SouthWind Boats use these Deutsch connectors throughout the boat… so we truly do!
Rigging Components
We pre-rig our boats with genuine Yamaha OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) parts. We use the best binnacle controls and wiring harnesses available. Teleflex Extreme control cables, or equivalent, provide for silky smooth throttle and shift operation. A Teleflex 4:2 ratio helm makes steering our boats a pleasure. Fog resistant gauges help minimize moisture build-up. And of course, everything is backed with at least three years of warranty coverage – standard.
Boarding Steps
SouthWind Boats feature molded boarding steps with non-skid surface for safe and easy access. No cushions to move or step on.
Composite Stringer System
SouthWind Boats feature a fiberglass stringer grid system injected with closed-cell urethane foam to increase strength, sound absorption and flotation.
Deck Platforms
Large bow and stern deck platforms also feature the non-skid surface. There are fully finished fiberglass compartments for ladders and anchors. The stern platform features an insulated storage compartment/20 gallon livewell.
Galley
SouthWind Boats feature molded galley areas with fresh water, prep surface, storage and molded sink with stainless faucet.
Pro V Hull
The SouthWind Boats Progressive V Hull combines the sharp entry of a sport boat, at the bow, with a shallow deadrise of a deck boat at the stern. This unique design provides a truly smooth and dry ride, opposed to the rough and wet ride of the many wide hull designs. SouthWind Boats Pro V Hull design maximizes performance without compromising deck/seating space.
