  • About Edgewater Boats
  • EdgeWater Boats Intelligently Designed

It all began in 1992 with a handful of experienced and dedicated craftsmen who shared a powerful dream of creating a company that would design and build the strongest, safest and most reliable boats on the water. Today that dream is a reality in EdgeWater Boats.
While we at EdgeWater continue to maintain small-company agility, responsiveness and drive, our twelve-year partnership with the North Marine Group, whose cutting-edge technologies are found aboard everything from America’s Cup racing yachts to the space shuttle, has given us the technological and financial resources necessary to create the highly advanced product our customers demand.

Today, EdgeWater Boats employs more than 100 people, in a 94,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that produces a limited number of uniquely hand-crafted, semi-custom boats each year. Additionally, our commercial division develops and builds specialized high-performance EdgeWater Boats for military, government and law enforcement applications.

Our managers, designers and engineers at EdgeWater are all active boaters. We cruise, dive and fish with our families. We spend time on the water with EdgeWater Boat owners, gathering their input, ideas and suggestions for constant improvement. Our experience on the water drives the way we design and build EdgeWater boats.

As a direct reflection of our ongoing commitment to listening to our customers, we are delighted to have received several CSI awards for outstanding customer satisfaction. These honors point to the superb craftsmanship of our boats and to the uncompromisingly high level of service we deliver to each and every EdgeWater Boat owner.
Intelligently engineered, wonderfully versatile, completely unsinkable, and backed by a limited lifetime transferable warranty. EdgeWater Boats is a company that honestly believes in putting the customer first. With an EdgeWater Power Boat, you’ll enjoy every moment on or off the water.

Precisely engineered, intelligently designed and always stunning to look at.
EdgeWater Boats set a completely new standard for strength, power and versatility while still delivering many of the features of a small yacht. Stylishly designed to turn heads, but thoughtfully engineered for function and comfort, these boats are built for individuals who are serious about having fun on the water.

Designed to deliver the roominess and ride of much larger vessels, EdgeWater Boats compromise absolutely nothing in comfort, safety or style. With deep-V hulls, plenty of seating for family and friends, lots of storage for dive gear, tackle and picnic supplies and numerous standard upgrades you won't find on any other boat in their class, EdgeWater boats provide a perfect combination of features and performance.

By carefully focusing on the needs of our customers and drawing from a network of talent and expertise, EdgeWater Boats delivers a high level of usability, technological advancement and overall boating enjoyment. Innovative and technologically advanced, EdgeWater Boats outperform every other boat in its class.

Like any high-performance vehicle, the test of engineering excellence is in the ride, and on this point EdgeWater Boats are unmatched.
From our smallest tender to our biggest offshore center console, every EdgeWater Boat rides on a uniquely innovative variable deadrise hull and proprietary structural system for maximum performance and safety. Created by a team of the industry’s most respected engineers, naval architects and marine designers, it reflects more than four decades of research, testing and refinement.

EdgeWater boats Variable Deadrise “Deep-V” Hull

With a sharp entry point, the deep-V hull found on all EdgeWater Boats has a high entry angle that delivers a sooth dry ride by displacing water away from the boat while a wide bow flair keeps it from rolling back into the boat. Our hulls also feature a higher degree of deadrise at the transom for added stability in rougher seas.

    Large Reverse Chines

The large chines on EdgeWater Boats deflect water down and under the hull, acting as two points on which it balances. These points provide a great deal of dynamic stability for a more solid ride while also increasing lift and reducing drag for a faster more efficient running hull.

    Padded Running Surface

A clean, flattened keel area at the stern of EdgeWater boats improves running at higher speeds by letting the boat sit back on the pad, providing a comfortable bow angle and not locking the boat into an undesirable, low running angle.

    High Transom Angle

Through the incorporation of a higher transom angle on EdgeWater Boats, the engines can be tucked under the boat for getting up on plane quickly and by trimming the engines up, control the bow angle without depending solely on trim tabs.

    Secondary Chine

The long sweeping lines of EdgeWater Boats make it pleasing to the eye, but they also serve a greater purpose. The style lines provide stiffness to the sides of the hull and act as secondary water deflectors, keeping water from running up the sides.

    Higher Freeboard and Wider Beam

EdgeWater Boats benefit from and are typified by their higher profile on the water. A deep freeboard creates a safer cockpit while the wide beam creates a roomier and drier running boat. While not all EdgeWater Boats will venture beyond the inlet, every model is designed to do just that.
