Our Journey

We have been designing and building boats for over 30 years. Founded in 1972 by one man, boating enthusiast, Tom Murrant started out with nothing but the belief that he could make a craft better than those available on the market. He built the company on this premise, and ultimately achieved just that.


Despite the company's overwhelming success and expansion over the years, at Sealine Boats we remain true to our roots; proudly retaining the bold, entrepreneurial spirit that started it all, along with our original location in the West Midlands; the industrial heart of England.
Above all, Sealine Boats is still run by people with a true passion for boating. Our staff are highly skilled, experienced boat builders, and many are marine enthusiasts themselves.


Today Sealine Boats is one of Europe's largest production luxury boat builders, producing over 400 boats a year. Our range encompasses 15 models of sports cruisers and motor yachts, from entry-level to full scale motor yachts, spanning 25 to 60 feet. We are committed to seeing our customers enjoy all stages of their boating life, and for this reason, we operate a Sea School which offers everything from day cruising to yacht master training. This provides owners with an invaluable learning platform from which to develop key skills and maximize enjoyment of their vessel.


Sealine Boats is also one of the few boat builders who run an entirely in-house operation. From the drawing board through to the finished product, every stage of design and production is carried out within Sealine Boats 350,000sq ft of covered workshops. Our current facilities span a fully integrated 14-acre site, including a state-of-the-art new design and development centre, technologically advanced lamination plant, and purpose built customer facilities.


With an international sales and dealer network comprising over 40 dealers, Sealine boats has representation across the globe and building from this platform, we are continually seeking to expand into new areas. Countless innovations have been named to our credit over the past three decades.


Our philosophy in building a quality luxury product is not only about form; functionality is also extremely important. At Sealine Boats we believe we have pushed the boundaries forward to make boating a safe and enjoyable experience for all those on board, and will continue to seek new ways to enhance and evolve every aspect of our designs.

The Sealine Boats strategy for innovation first and foremost, is to design features that add value to the product, and also to distinguish it from other brands available on the market. These characteristics are primarily functional and, although often improving aesthetic appeal, the focus is centred on ease of use, optimization of space, and safety of handling. We take pride in our originality, and in the fact that many of the Sealine Boats signature innovations that have been introduced over the years have now evolved to become industry standards.
