by John from Council Bluffs, Iowa on April 19, 2016
Out of the package of 6, I think I had 2 that installed correctly. The tabs that hold the stainless steel bar in place kept breaking off. One was even broken before I took it from the package. You'd think they'd be built as durable as zip ties, but they're not.

Full StarFull StarFull StarEmpty StarEmpty StarWorks but high failure rate on plastic
by Peter from Boulder, Colorado on April 17, 2016
These toggle bolt anchors solve the very sticky problem of mounting items to a boat deck when you don't have access to the bottom of the deck - I used them for mounting a trolling motor to the front of an aluminum bass boat. Their design works well and I got the trolling motor mount attached. However the quality control on the plastic parts is pretty lousy. On about half the bolts I used, the plastic was either unusable or it failed and the toggle fell into the boat, requiring me to order a second set to complete my project. So I'd give this product 5 stars for design, about 1.5 stars for execution.

But a little expensive, but I guess a speciality item would cost more!

Once the Toggle is in place it is great. The nylon strips could be a little stronger as the tend to break before the toggle is secure. This is my second set. The first ones have been in use for about 3 years in a sal er environment and are still holding strong. All in all a very good product.

These work great. My only complaint is they are too pricy for what you get.

Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarEmpty StarEasy to use
by Lewis from Jefferson City, Missouri on November 07, 2011
I used a six pack of these to add another pedestal base to a boat with a 1/2 inch plywood floor. I had installed other bases before putting the floor in, but these seemed like the best option for installing once the floor was riveted in. One cautionary note: if there is flotation foam all the way up to the underside of the floor, you need to remove it to about an inch below the surface and about an inch in diameter. This will give you space to swivel the toggles flush with the underside of the floor. Once I figured that out, installation was a breeze. I chucked a hex key (L-shaped) with the long leg in a drill, inserted the short leg in the hole, and chewed the foam up below the hole so I could install the toggles. Plenty of polyurethane adhesive (3M 5200 or equivalent) completed the installation. I haven't yet put it to a stress test, but I just can't see the toggles pulling through the plywood.

Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarEmpty StarAnchors Worked Great
by Thad from Shrezeport, Louisiana on June 30, 2011
These anchors worked very well and were easy to use. A well designed product. I don't think the seat I used them on will ever move again. My only complaint is the price. I think the price is too high because it's a "marine" product. But I wasn't able to find another alternative so I guess you have to pay the price.
