Tips From The Pros: Brandon Palaniuk Uses Humminbird 360 Imaging (Video)
Hey Guys – its Brandon Palanuik here. We just finished weigh ins after day two of the Bass Master League Series Event up here in New York in Cayuga Lake and this week I am relying heavily on my Humminbird 360 imaging.
I’ve nearly caught almost all of my fish using my 360 and you might wonder how in the world do you do that. Well I’ve got two different patterns going on. I’m fishing grass lines in 14-16 foot and I’m able to see the thicker patches of grass and I’m also able to tell different types of grass. I’ve figured out that the fish are in the real dense, hard coontail better than any of the other grasses. And I can see that on my 360 so I can line up my cast and I can make those pinpoint casts. I catch a lot more fish being able to do that with my 360.
The other deal that I have going on is that I am actually fishing schools of fish out, off the bank. And I can see those fish sitting on very small rock piles, maybe the size of a front deck of a boat. I’m able to line up my boat, position it correctly and be able to make that right cast. It’s such a small area in the middle of nowhere that I really need my 360 to be able to see that rock pile, and to be able to make that cast. I can actually see the fish sitting out off the ledge of the rock pile with my 360. Without my 360 this week I probably wouldn’t be sitting where I am now. At 8th place after day two. I can’t wait to get back out there, use it a little bit more and see if I can’t catch some more fish with it.
