Transporting boat fuel is easy, safe and reliable with the SeaSense Fuel Tank. A portable tank that has been for durability while the ergonomic carrying handles on either side allow for convenient carrying.

  • Portable yet durable construction from high-density polyethylene allows for years of use. Can be used for 2 or 4 cycle gasoline
  • Design allows you to remove from boat when filling the tank that is ideal for above deck usage only. 5% air expansion has been calculated into tank to meet industry standard and create a safe fill level
  • Low permeation fuel tank reduces gasoline hydrocarbon into our air. A ratcheted cap has a tether to eliminate loss of cap during refueling. Tank cap has a pressure relief valve that opens at 5 psi- Note that in sunlight and warmer temperatures that these tanks will pressurize and become more rounded. This is normal and will release the pressure as this vessel reaches the peak of 5 psi. In cooler climates it will contract and reverses direction becoming concave as this is a normal cycle for fuel tanks to go through.

This tank features two 1-1/2" deep grooves that allow for secure strapping, preventing movement during transportation. Plus, its molded form insets and recesses allow for safe and convenient stacking. Both tank and cap possess low-permeation capability to prevent unwanted or excess fuel vaporization.

Features of SeaSense Gas Tank:

  • Strong, high density polyethylene construction
  • Compact and space saving design
  • 2 Year warranty
  • Low permeation tank and cap
  • Included cap is EPA compliant
  • Can't be sold to California

Missing pieces
by Todd from Wagener, South Carolina on September 19, 2016
I'm sure both tanks would have been great had one not arrived without the gas cap and fuel pick up piece. No resolution on issue after two weeks, emails and phone calls. Will update if problem is resolved.

Seasense Fuel Tank
by Robert from Castroville, Texas on April 25, 2016
Great product. Design allows it to sit just a bit lower, which works really well on my boat. Also the fuel fill cap is located further forward, once again more convenient use. The strap indents are perfect for hold downs and surely help a lot in keeping the tank more controlled in its location. Just a great product.

Seasense 6 gallon fuel tank
by Rodney from Bettendorf, Iowa on September 02, 2015
Great price, great service from Iboats. Only issue I have is that the tank is not vented and will swell up like a beach ball, in the heat, if you don't loosen the cap when not in use.

Q:
What r the dimensions of the tank?
A:
9-1/2" H x 13-1/2" W x 20" L

Q:
How spillproof? If I fill this up and put it ithe back of my suv will I be disapointed?
A:
It's not guaranteed to be spill proof. The fuel withdrawal, if that were ever to fall off, would make it leak a little bit.

Q:
Is the fuel receptacle compatible with the Sierra Fuel line assembly #18-8016EP-1?
A:
You would need the tank connector as well which is 18-80402.

Q:
How large is the feed? Will it work on a large outboard (115hp)? Fuel line would need to be 3/8" out at least 5/16"?
A:
You will need a tank that can handle more gallons depending on your motor. Next there is a fuel tank connector that installs into the withdrawal then that connects to the line. Finally there is your engine connection, but engine manufacturer has recommended fuel line size.

Q:
Will this work on my 2 stroke Johnson 35 hp if I get the right fuel connection?
A:
Yes it will work just fine as long as you get the correct tank connection.
