Get rid of unwanted gases and odors off your boat engine compartment, galley and bilge with the Attwood Turbo Blower. This blower features five-blade fan for optimum air movement. Its low-amp draw motor extends the life of the blower and battery.

This blower features a high-performance motor that is nickel plated for corrosion resistance. Plus, the motor cap covers wires and motor to protect them from water. The tabs on intake and exhaust can be used to firmly set the hose or clamp in place while the stabilizing ribs minimize housing dislocation. This blower can be horizontally or vertically installed, thanks to its integrated mounting feet.

  • Five-blade fan
  • Low-amp draw motor – longer blower and battery life
  • Built-in feet for easy horizontal and vertical installation

Features of Attwood Turbo Blowers

  • Motor nickel-plated for corrosion resistance
  • Stiffening ribs minimize housing dislocation
  • Motor cap protects wires and motor from water
  • Tinned and insulated wire
  • Tabs on intake and exhaust hold ventilation hose/clamp securely in its place

Turbo In-Line Blowers: Design Features
Aerospace Technology
Attwood's Turbo Blowers were the first vane axial-flow fan bilge blowers designed using aerospace technology to maximize performance. Attwood engineers re-designed every element -- motor, housing, and fan -- for the highest possible system efficiency and blower performance. They succeeded in building some of the most effective blowers in the industry.
Higher Output
No other bilge blowers in the industry provide such powerful system output at such low power input in a compact size.
  • System airflow exceeds old-style in-line blowers by as much as 25%
  • Motor draws up to 40% fewer amps, making Turbo blowers up to four times more efficient than competitive blowers. This means unsurpassed reliability
  • Straight-through housing minimizes airflow loss
  • Nose cone straightens airflow for efficient entry into the fan blades; five-blade design minimizes airflow interference
  • The blade sweep and pitch are engineered for a high lift coefficient, increasing airflow speed; reinforced plastic maintains blade shape

Really Happy With Attwood Blower Fan
by Seann from Indiantown, Florida on April 09, 2016
The Attwood blower fan arrived a day early, and installation was relatively easy. Once connected the fan worked as promised and I'm happy to know that my engine compartment can now be ventilated from either the steering pedestal or the electrical panel. Thanks for great service!

heater blower for vw baja bug
by Joseph from Fernley, Nevada on December 29, 2015
I use these blowers to increase the air flow from the heater boxes n the vw because here in northern nevada it gits cold after about 3-5 minutes i can turn on the blowers and have a nice warm flow of air to the cabin and windshield for defrost ,however i have unintentionally forgot to turn them on and destroyed the blowers and had to ordered new ones,no damage to vehicle these things work great I'll probably be ordering more before the year is over so please keep a supply of a couple on hand thanks Joe of Fernley nevada thats about 30 miles east of reno nv

Very quiet
by David from Wilmore, Kentucky on September 10, 2016
It arrived quicker than expected. Easy to install, even in a tight space. It's so quiet that you can hardly hear it even before starting the engine. So far 100% happy with this purchase.

Smooth, quiet, but still powerful.
by Tim from Clinton, Illinois on July 04, 2015
The Turbo 3000 Blower was the original blower in our 2005 Crownline. It lasted ten years, hopefully the new Turbo 3000 will last just as long.

I am going to use it to blow air from outside onto the car alternator diodes, I did wire it temporarily to the car battery, works fine, should move enough air to cool my alternator, trick is going to be how to run the flexible duct in the engine compartment.

Great Little Blower
by John from Hot Springs, Arkansas on July 15, 2011
I purchased 2 blowers to be used as HVAC booster fans for our 27 passenger Church bus. I installed these blowers inline on the ductwork I installed and they performed perfectly to my expectations. We just used this bus to go on a week long mission trip in Toronto Canada. All passengers said the HVAC provided for their needs because of these great little blowers. I know these blowers are designed for boats but they work great in other 12V applications that require a small and powerful blower. Great job ibloats for providing a quality product at a resonable price. Best Regards, John Morton, Jr.

Q:
Will this be a good replacement for a Rule model 140?
A:
Yes, this could work as a replacement for the Rule 140 model.

Q:
I don't see amp draw to determine wattage?
A:
Current amp draw is 2.6.

Q:
I want to use this as a ventilation fan for a DIY camper van. Can I change the motor speeds using a rheostat?
A:
Yes, you may adjust the speed using a rheostat.

Q:
Do you have an inline blower that can operate at a higher temp to aid in cooling an engine compartment?
A:
In all honesty it all depends on your boat and engine. You need to know the CFM (cubic feet per minute) required. What is best is to contact a technician and see what is recommended along with electrical specs (volt, draw amp, etc.). This particular one's CFM open flow is 200. You can also post a question in our forum which connects you with thousands of boaters for possible suggestions at http://forums.iboats.com/.

Q:
What size fuse is needed for thi blower?
A:
Fuse size is 5 amp for the 12V model.

Q:
What is the CFM?
A:
CFM open flow is 200.

Q:
Can this be used with a reostat speed control?
A:
According to Attwood, if you are using this blower in the bilge, it cannot be used with a reostat speed control.

Q:
Can this blower be run continuously without overheating?
A:
This Attwood 4000 blower will eventually overheat in time. All electric motors reach that point before failure. It is intended to be turned on and off.

Q:
I want to use this Blower to vent a master closet and have 3 questions: 1) what is the approximate CFM? 2) Good approach for power supply converting 120Volts AC to 12 Volts DC?
A:
This Blower produces 90 CFM. Adapters for conversion are available.

Q:
What is dia. of entrance and outlet. how hot can air be?
A:
This blower has a maximum temperature of 130 degrees Farenheit. The measurements on this product are as follows: Length: 5.31 inches Width: 3 inches Height: 4.5 inches

Q:
What are dimentions diameter and length?
A:
The measurements on this product are as follows: Length: 5.31 inches Width: 3 inches Height: 4.5 inches

Q:
What's the difference between the 3000 and 4000?
A:
4000 is just a more powerful blower. Has a higher draw in system and CFM flow. If you have further questions contact us at the number at the top of the page.
