Chrome Futura Reading Light, 12V - Taylor Made

I was looking for an efficient and attractive spot light for my 46' Hunter and these looked like the perfect solution. While attractive, they are virtually impossible to install on a boat. The circuitry inside the base of the light leaves no room at all for the wiring. The two-piece installation requirement (rear bracket into the wall, light attaches to the bracket) require a single opening of no more than 3/4" diameter either exist or be drilled. Once the bracket is in place, the light is very difficult to mount back on the bracket because the circuitry is so tightly packed into the base of the lamp. After succeeding in breaking two of the six lights I purchased, I called an licensed electrician who had done great work for me in the past and he wound up breaking another. Just a ridiculously difficult to install item and I would advise you to find another lamp for your boat.

Just a bit Dim for my taste, but do-able..
