Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarEmpty StarFuel cap smaller than most existing sets
by Jeff from Newcastle, Washington on October 07, 2015
This fuel cap looks identical to many boats that used this style in the 1970's. It matches exactly in looks to the ones I compared it to on 70's Sea Ray boats. The problem is that it is about 10% smaller in size. This means that the cap will probably not fit and you will have to buy this complete set for replacement. Being slightly smaller the existing screw holes also may not match up. Quality is fine especially for the price, just note it may not be a quick fix.

Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarEmpty StarIt fit and is easy to unscrew.
by Scott from Vail, Arizona on August 23, 2015
This part looks like it is a perfect drop in for my original but there were two differences. The holes are a slightly smaller radius from the center. I was able to make it work with bolts at an angle. To use screws you may have to clock it different than original and redrill. There was also a ground screw where a wire attached on my original. I connected the ground wire between the mounting bolt and nut to preserve that safety feature. This one unscrews much easier than my original with plastic threads that were cross threaded.

Full StarFull StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarDeck Fill Review
by Kern from St. Charles, Illinois on August 22, 2012
I was disappointed in the surface quality of the product. The metal was not well polished before being chrome plated. To get the quality look that I desire, I will have to take the item to a local plater and have it polished and replated. Depending upon the condition of the old unit from the boat, I may choose to have it polished and replated instead. Overall, not up to my standards.

Q:
Does this flange have fuel proof"seal between the cap and flange?

Yes, there is an O-ring providing a watertight seal.
Q:
I lost my boat gas cap. I think mine looked like this one. How do I need to measure to make sure it will fit?
A:
You need to make sure the I.D. is 1-1/2". The part number for the cap only is 351755-1.
