Cobalt Boats 46 - Cruiser Boat
New 2013 Cobalt Boats - Cruiser
2010 Cobalt Boats 46 DescriptionImagination now lavished on the first Cobalt's yachts, the flagship 46.
Cobalt DNA shows itself at first glance. In a profile that sleek does not begin to describe, in lines borrowed from the classics, in panoramic side windows that have already become a Cobalt signature, the 46 goes to sea with a panoply of proven Cobalt features. The cockpit rolls away from an L-shaped lounger/sofa to massive U-shaped seating aft, all with waterproof cushioning standard, teak optional in the floor and at the helm and its twin flip-up, thigh-rise chairs with integral headrests.
The 46s interior too brings along a new standard in standard features. The largest forward master cabin in the category with a queen-size bed. A full-beam aft cabin with twin beds. Full-height hanging lockers in both cabins. Cabinetry constructed to the whims and wishes of the mega-yacht owner. Even more choices available in woods and countertops, granite the material of record in the latter.
The 46 shows its true character at the helm with proven Cobalt instrumentation and controls: backlit gauges and switchgear, automatic engine synchonizers, Northstar VHF and sonar, Northstar GPS and Chartplotter, electronic shift and throttle, electro-hydraulic steering with tilt leather wheel, and a VesselView LCD color screen monitoring multiple engine, vessel and systems inputs.
A Zeus propulsion system incorporates totally new pods with counter-rotational, rear-facing propellers and a through -hub exhaust. Independent vectoring dramatically improves handling at high speeds. Docking becomes a snap, the steerable pods responding to subtle direction from advanced joystick controls. The 46 cruises behind twin Cummins QSB 425 horses each. Power boosts to 480 and 540 horsepower Cummins monsters are optional. Fuel capacity of 350 gallons ensures the long haul.
The Cobalt 46 then. The classical shape of more great things to come.
