About Crest Pontoons

One of the oldest independent pontoon manufacturers in the nation, Maurell Products has been building Crest boats for over 50 years. In 1957 Maurice Schell built his first boat to fulfill a personal need; he enjoyed diving and required a stable platform to transport equipment to diving locations. Recognizing that many people would enjoy the stability and room of a motorized platform, Mr. Schell started Maurell Products. To this day, we specialize exclusively in building quality pontoon boats. At his passing in 1999, Mr. Schell left an experienced, independently owned family business in capable hands with three top managers representing over 120 years of pontoon industry experience. Our goal is to continue to build Crest Boats and make sure they are the best pontoon boats on the market. As the Crest Boats story moves through the next millennium, Maurice Schell’s legacy will continue to guide our tradition of excellence.
