Replace your worn out snap-in* boat carpet with OEM-quality carpet from Taylor Made.
This cockpit kit makes ordering custom fit carpet a snap! The Kit contains an order template you'll use to create the shape of the carpet you need cut.** When you have made the template, choose your carpet, and send us a request. We’ll send you back a quote. Once you place the order your new carpet you can be at your door in two to three weeks.

Custom-cut, snap-in* carpets are constructed with a tough rubber backing, which can be cut to virtually any shape or size. It is designed to brave the sea, sun and salt so you can be sure it's tough! Carpet is mold and mildew resistant. All edges are finished with matching poly binding. This quality carpet comes with a 5-year warranty from Taylor Made.

With these kits you can:

  • Easily replace old shabby snap-down carpet.
  • Carpet an area that was never carpeted previously.
  • Design a custom mat or runner to protect high traffic areas.

    Replace your carpet in 5 easy steps!

    1. Order the Custom Template Cockpit Kit.
    2. Measure your existing carpet:
      • Trace your carpet or new areas on template supplied in the Kit.
      • Choose the color and style of carpet.
    3. Send template and carpet choice to factory address provided in the Kit.
    4. Receive a quote back and place your order.
      (The price of the Cockpit Kit with template will be credited towards your purchase.)
    5. Receive your custom made carpet.
      Use the snaps and fastener tool (a no charge option with your order) to add snaps to match the exact placement of the snaps in your boat. Then, install in your boat.

    The Template Kit includes:

  • One 8’ by 10’ Mylar template sheet for tracing carpet section(s).
    (Larger boats, such as pontoons, may take more than one kit.)
  • One marker for tracing the carpet pieces.
  • A swatch of every color and carpet type available for purchase.
  • An order form.
  • The template can be sent back in the same box it is shipped in.
    (Note: Customer pays for shipping.)


    • Replacement Carpet Features:
  • Same quality and design of OEM carpet.
  • Computer cut and precision bound.
  • 5 year warranty on all carpet.
  • 2 carpet types: Cut Pile and Berber.
  • Price per square foot: Cut Pile $8.99, Berber $11.99. Shipping has a set amount of 40 cents a square foot.
  • Color choices in Cut Pile: Royal, Sand, Beige, Dark Grey, Light Grey, Purple.
  • Color choices in Berber: Grey, Oyster.
  • Rubber-like bottom on the carpet prevents slippage.
  • 2-3 week manufacturing time.
  • Customer can order snaps and a snap tool on the order form if needed.
  • Replaces snap-in carpets only.*
  • Can also be used to add snap-in* carpet to areas previously not carpeted.
  • No returns allowed unless defective.

    • * Available for snap-in carpet applications only. Not intended for use as glue-in carpet.

    Bought the template from iboats. Spent the $$'s to fedex 2 day to taylor made. Waited 3 weeks for a call from taylor made. Finally called them to find out whats up with the quote and return of call. They told me that they just got the order on may 30th. Wrong. I have a fedex record that shows delivered to them on 5/17 and signed for by G Smith. Isn't fedex great. Asked if they could expedite the small carpet kit for a vacation in 2 weeks. Their response,,,, no way. What a great group. Last time they get my consideration for anything.
