The Art Of Luxury
In 1972, Doral Boats built its first boat in the historic town of Grand Mère, Quebec. The building wasn’t much - but the vision and dream was there. With a team of specialized technical and naval designers - Doral Boats set out to develop a line of high quality pleasure boats with an unyielding dedication to the principles that only the best is satisfactory.
The small but dedicated Doral Boats team first began building the 153, quickly followed by the 147 - 156 - 166 and their flagship 178! It was to be the beginning of a long, hard but satisfying journey for a company wanting to make their mark in the boating business in Canada. The vision of growing continued and four new models were created - the TRX, 164, 190 and 227. Now, with a fully operational “production line” - it soon became apparent that the employees on the floor were true craftsmen - artists in fact, capable of building some of the finest boats in the industry - from concept and design to the cabinetry and fit and finish.
Doral Boats has seen a multitude of changes over the past four decades - but through it all - the commitment to produce a boat built by only the highest standards was never forgotten.

In life, it's the little things that set us apart from the rest. At Doral Boats, not only do we strive to ensure that all cruisers and sport boats stand the test of time but as a Doral owner you will appreciate the "little extra touches" that we have integrated into our boats to meet and exceed your expectations. Step aboard, and you will sense the quality that can only be achieved through our commitment to superior engineering and construction techniques.
Quality Inspection and Tests
The Quality Assurance Department will take over for the testing phase. At Doral Boats, we have implemented a QA-Pass system, where any component must receive a QA-Pass from Quality Assurance (QA) before proceeding to the next stage in the manufacturing pipeline. This allows us to identify any deficiency early during construction, and correct it before it becomes a problem.
When the boat finally reaches the end of the line, we once again test all systems and compare it against our prototype. We perform mechanical tests and start the engine to ensure everything is flawless. All electrical systems are tested and calibrated. The boat goes through a high-pressure shower to test for any leaks around portals, fittings, or screws. We even go so far as to water test about every 10th boat. Once the boat passes every stage, it then receives the Doral Boats Quality logo and is shipped off to the dealer.
