After owning over a hundred boats and spending my whole life around Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio...I can honestly say the Edgewater 205 EX is the perfect little day cruiser for fishing, island hopping, business dealings, tubing and all around recreational family fun. Lake Erie is notorious for rapidly changing weather conditions. My wife can be categorized as a prime candidate for the "chicken of the seas" award when it comes to foul weather. I guess I can attribute that to a bad experience involving a 21'Ranger bass boat I used to own that failed near shore in a bad lightning storm a few years back. Last summer the sun was shining and the seas were calm so we headed to Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island to do an appraisal for my business. True to reputation, a strong squall blew up and we were amidst 6 foot waves and blinding rain. We put the top and side curtains up and pointed the bow into the waves and the mighty little Edgewater performed like a champ. The self bailing cockpit worked flawlessly and the fourstroke Yamaha purred like a kitten. Visibility was less than ten feet but the GPS kept our course and we arrived safely at our destination just as the storm subsided. The sun came out and my wife was happy and said without a doubt that she would never own anything but an Edgewater!
