it seems like the guide/chart to show the part I needed showed this to be correct replacement for starter gear assy for J50TLERE JOHNSON 50 HP 1994....incorrect but refunded...ordered another gear but had to find the spring and spacer elsewhere...? will order from iboats again...even with the difficulty and some frustration...all contacts at iboats, very patient and helpful.

after an incorrect part shipment and having to order this and another spring/spacer kit (instead of all together like the incorrect one was) I have now replaced gear,spring, spacer and nut. Took awhile but works...
