I did not have any guides on my trailer and spent way too much time centering the back of the boat on the trailer. Now I just pull it up with the winch and it is perfect! I wish the mounting plate was made from a bit thicker gage steel plate, I had to mount mine on a vertical standard and it bent with the torq. BUT it works great!!

Which one of the two pictures will I be getting? They're different.?
Pictures have been updated, but you will get something like this. All that comes in the kit is the roller guides, upper mounting plates, lower mounting plates, hex head bolts, nyloc nuts, washers, and caps.

What is the height from the top of the guide to the bottom of the galvanized mount? Mounted on top of the trailer frame, how tall is the top of the guide?
Tie Down confirms that they can't give exact height because they don't know the specs of the trailer frame you're mounting it onto. They did confirm that the support tube is 18.5" top to bottom.
