Just completed an oil change in my 09 VolvoPenta 4.3L, and this pump made the job very straightforward and very clean with a perfect system to get the fluid out and into the container where it can be capped for transport, or poured into the VolvoPenta oil container for transport and recycling at the store. I can complete an oil change in under 30 minutes. One improvement that should or could be made is to provide graduated fluid volume levels on the container so that you know when it approaching being done sucking the required volume of fluid. For my next oil change I intend to pour the required volume (in my case 3.78L) into the extractor tank and mark the fluid level on the side with a black marker for reference, then pour the new oil back into its container and proceed with extracting the oil from the motor. Very easy to do but wish it came with graduated lines. Another improvement I intend to make is to buy some longer suction hose so that I can keep the extractor on my shop floor instead of in the boat to have greater head differential to make the job faster and less potential to spill a drop or two in the boat. Overall I am very impressed with this product and seems of very good quality. My only regret is not having bought one sooner.

The extractor pulled all of the oil out with just a few pulls of the handle. Made a boat oil change easy and clean, something I never had before. I would recommend it to any boat or jet ski owner.

The tubing is very stiff, and the connections come apart easily during use. The stiff tubing puts a lot of stress on the poor connections and the results is a big messy oil spill.

I just changed the oil in my Mercruiser 350 Mag V8 for the first time, and this fluid extractor made the job easy. After warming up the engine, it only took about 10 minutes for this to suck the oil up through the dipstick tube and into the large reservoir of the extractor. It required about 18 pumps initially to get the oil flowing, and after that, 4 or 5 pumps every couple of minutes to finish the job. I was able to remove the tube and get the whole device out of the boat without spilling a single drop in the bilge or on the engine. I had heard so many horror stories about how hard it is to change the oil in an I/O boat, but this pump really made it a snap. I could not be happier with the performance of the extractor. My only criticism is the AWFUL instructions printed on the box. I spent more time experimenting with how to put the thing together than I did changing the oil. Otherwise, it's a good product and a good value.
