I purchased this Sierra starter on 4/20/11 for my 1997 force engine by mercury marnie. this part worked great up until 05/12/11 then the starter gave out and locked up in the fly wheel it would not dis engage. So I am hoping it was a defective part and hoping the new starter gives me no more problems.

The starter looked to be well built, and of quality materials. It fit well at install and has worked well since. It has only been 3 weeks since I purchased it, so I rated it a 4. If it had been a couple of months and still working well, I'd give it a 5.
