Like all Fountains, the 31 Center Console is engineered for unmatched stability while fishing, combining a low center of gravity with a beam that's perfectly matched to the boat's centerline. Fountain is one of the few manufacturers to use high-density foam, Interplastic vinyl ester resins, and multi-directional fiberglass, and then laminates its hulls and decks together, in a process that is racecourse proven. Other features include: seven stringers and 10 bulkheads glassed into place for superior structural integrity, heavy-duty trim tabs and hydraulic steering; complete instrumentation; 400-quart insulated fish box with overboard drains; 50-gallon circulating livewell; rod holders; and a self-bailing cockpit liner. The end result is a hull design that needs less horsepower at on-plane speeds, which translates into an extended range and big savings at the fuel dock.
