Fulton Heavy Duty Winch Strap and Hook

Do you guys really know your products, or just push the generic stuff out the door everyday ? When I buy a 20 foot strap should there be some kind of restriction or question pop-up about wether it will wind onto the winch reel. This one needed to have a steel mounting stud grinded down and removed before it would fit on the reel. Do the winch reels come in various diameters ? is this something that your computer system should prompt for the customer or your service reps should be asking ?? Otherwise, this strap was fine and will do the job on my 18 foot boat.
