Garelick Adjustable Pedestal System

I own a centurion boat and the flip up seat for surfing or hydrofoiling is uncomfortable, so i wanted an adjustable seat to see over the windshield---this product was a direct change for the oem seat and i really like it. The customer service rep at iboats was really helpful, along with the tech rep at garelick

I just received this pedestal and have yet to install it in my boat. It seems to be constructed very sturdily, and the gas powered lift feature seems to work smoothly. The holes in the top plate (where it attaches to the underside of the seat) do not line up with those in the seat, so I will have to enlarge the holes on the mounting plate somewhat. Additionally, pedestal comes with no instructions for installation or documentation on how it functions. An envelope containing two small screws accompanied the pedestal, but there is no indication where they are to be used. I emailed Garelick and they said there is no documentation, but offered a customer service line. Haven't tried them yet. Other than the inexplicable lack of information on installation/usage, the product seems to be OK.
