Don’t let wood rot damage your precious boat! Extend the life and enhance the strength of the wooden parts of your boat with the Boatlife Git-Rot Rx for Dry Rot. Just inject the formulation into the wood. The adhesive penetrates into the wood by means of capillary action to saturate wood and strengthen it from the inside.

This liquid epoxy is compatible with fiberglass resins, epoxies and most sealants. And, it can be used to eliminate wood rot in transoms, stringers and cabin roof rot of both fiberglass and wood boats.

  • Cures overnight
  • Restores original strength of wood
  • Sandable and paintable

Features of Boatlife Git-Rot Rx for Dry Rot

Git-Rot got it done
by Bruce from San Antonio, Texas on November 13, 2013
I have used this product with a prior boat, which had great results. This time I used it on the eves of a house I was painting. There was a small amount of rot which Git-Rot addressed much better than replacing the board.

Great product!
by Betty from Mikado, Michigan on June 19, 2016
I just used Git-Rot to fix a bad spot on a table top slab I'm working on and it worked great! This stuff will make a bad spot rock hard with no problem. I would recommend it to anybody needing to fix rotten or punky spots in wood!!! It's NOT just for boats!

Q:
I would apply Git Rot to a natural Western Red Cedar strip boat. Would Git Rot change it's color? I plan on having a clear natural finish encapsulated with WEST system 207.?
A:
According to Boatlife the Git Rot is a clear and neutral application so it won't change color. Then you can sand it and paint if needed as well after it's cured.

Q:
CAN YOU SPRAY GIT ROT?
A:
No it cannot be sprayed.
