The epoxy glue for the decks eliminates the need for mechanical fasteners. The Delta-T® air demisters prevent corrosion and engine wear by ensuring that air supplied to the engines are free of sea spray and mist. All deck structures utilize closed-cell foam coring. Closed cell foam is imperrvious to rot that is typically caused by water penetration Clear gel-coat is used to allow for visual examination of the laminate. Any noted flaw is repaired to reduce the chance of osmosis. All hull bottoms receive three layers of epoxy barrier coat. This step in the process will dramatically reduce the chance of osmosis. Exterior non-chormed metals are painted with Awl-Grip® to provide superior corrosion protection. ... more Handsome diesel introduced in 1987 makes good on promise of luxury accommodations, top-notch build quality. Offered with several interior layouts over the years three-stateroom floorplan has always been standard; two-stateroom plan with enlarged salon has been optional. Tooling was updated in 1988 (hull #43) to provide slightly wider side decks aft. Note flawless teak cabinetry, superb engineroom. Twin Cat or Cummins diesels deliver top speeds of 18 22 knots.
