2009 Grand Banks 49 Eastbay SX Standard FeaturesSpeed + Range + Efficiency Today's Grand Banks are designed to provide higher speeds when needed, while also delivering fuel economy - and comfortable cruising over long distances - when moving at a slower pace. Our use of electronically controlled diesel engines gives you greater performance and flexibility than ever before, while dramatically reducing smoke, odor and engine idle noise. Expansive Views An expanse of windows brings light and views pouring into the large salon of the 49 Eastbay SX. An L-settee surrounds the inlaid teak table, and owners have the option of a second StiddŽ or bench seat opposite the helm. Dine in Style Below decks, a private, large L-dinette and convertible inlaid teak table sits conveniently to starboard of the gourmet-style galley. "HX" Version The 49HX appeals to many who enjoy the added light, air, visibility and the enticing feeling of spaciousness that comes with a helm deck open to the cockpit. When it's time to retire, the companionway locks snugly and keeps you comfortable below. "SX" or "HX"? The 49SX features a salon that is fully enclosed from the cockpit by glass windows and a locking door. The 49HX opens that helm deck to the cockpit and outdoors beyond, with no glass, doors, or other superstructure between the hardtop and the aft salon bulkhead. Also in the HX, teak decking extends fully from the cockpit into the helm deck, and a sliding hatch encloses the lower deck at the companionway entrance. Expansive Cockpit The cockpit of the 49 Eastbay is over seven feet long, providing wide-open spaces for entertaining, fishing, or simply soaking up the sun. In the SX model, the stairs to the helm deck open to provide step-down engine room access. Large Master Stateroom Both the SX and HX models feature one of the largest master staterooms in her class, with a queen-size island berth, en-suite head and plenty of storage space.
