My old shafts were rusted and bent. This one or atleast the ones I bought are zinc plated so they should not rust for quite some time. The grease passage is at the farthest outside part of the shaft for strenght I also went up in size from 1/2" to 5/8" I also replaced the rubber roller with polyurethane which is a very stong not very flexible material in itself, so I beleive bent shafts are a thing of the past. Report as inappropriate Grease ports in wrong spot by Barry - Southlake, TexasJune 30, 2011 I received the roller shaft and noticed immediately that the grease ports were in the wrong spot. I am using this shaft on a roller with the 2 protective roller caps and the grease ports come out between the center roller and the end caps. I drilled out the shaft so I could have 2 ports under the main roller and one under each end cap. I put JB Weld in the existing holes. Works great now. Was this review helpful?
