How Much AntiFouling Paint Do I Need?
Determining how much antifouling you will need is fairly simple. You can calculate the area to paint by multiplying the length of your hull (LOA) by the beam and multiply by 0.85 (LOA x B x 0.85 = Area). Then divide the area by the coverage of the paint you've chosen to determine how many quarts per coat you will need.
Refer to the reference chart below for another quick estimate of how much antifouling paint is required for two coats.

Spring is finally getting to Wisconsin, kind of. I was checking on my Hunter 23 to come out of winter storage she was telling me she needed new bottom paint. When I started shopping for bottom paint online I expected to see a horrendous shipping charge and a long delivery schedule versus driving 40+ miles to a place that has marine bottom paint. I ordered one gallon of bottom paint on Tuesday May 6th at 1:48pm. UPS dropped it off at my door at 1:40pm today, Wednesday May 7th. That’s less than 24 hours. I had not specified “next day” delivery. I’m not in that big of a hurry to sand and paint her. If I had jumped in my Expedition and run to the nearest store that has bottom paint it would have cost me at least four times the shipping cost, just in gas money. Great price on the paint, great shipping cost and phenomenal delivery. Thank you iboats. Bill G. Wisconsin
