Fiberglass Bottomkote Classic is a hard modified epoxy, fast dry antifouling paint with clean stable colors that has been developed to provide effective season-long
protection on all power and sailboats. The fast dry formula allows the boat to be painted and launched in the same day. Fiberglass Bottomkote Classic is
recommended for use on the underwater areas of fiberglass, wood, and properly
primed metal (except aluminum) boat hulls. It can be used in fresh, salt and
brackish waters.
Application Temperature: 50°F (10°C) and above air and hull
Coats Required: 2 coats minimum
V.O.C.: Less than 470 gms/ltr as supplied (3.92 lb/gallon)
Recommended Application Systems
Compatibility
Fiberglass Bottomkote® Classic can be applied over most other antifouling paints provided the old coating is tightly adhered, is in sound condition and has been thoroughly sanded with 80 grit wet-or-dry sandpaper.
Preparation Previously Painted - Good Condition: Remove all traces of loose paint and contamination by sanding the entire surface with 80 grit wet-or-dry sandpaper; wipe surface clean with Interlux Special Thinner 216. Apply at least 2 coats of Fiberglass Bottomkote Classic.
Previously Painted - Poor Condition: Completely remove all old antifouling paint, using Interlux® Interstrip
299E for fiberglass, and wood, and by sandblasting to near white metal for steel. Follow application systems below.
Bare Fiberglass: It is very important that bare fiberglass be properly prepared to prevent delamination of the antifouling paint. Begin by scrubbing the surface thoroughly with a stiff brush using Interlux All-Purpose Boat Soap and water to remove loose dirt and contamination. Flush with fresh water to remove the soap residue and allow
to dry. Remove mold release wax using one of the following Interlux products. Fiberglass Surface Prep YMA601
or Fiberglass Solvent Wash 202 following the product label instructions. To be certain that all of the contamination
has been removed, run water over the surface. If the water beads up or separates, clean again. When the water
sheets off, all contamination has been removed. Fill any surface imperfections with Interlux Watertite YAV135,
Interfill® 830 or Interfill 833 following the label instructions. After the surface has been properly cleaned, proceed with one of the application systems below.
Application Systems Bare Fiberglass - No Sand System: Clean the surface following the preparation procedure above. Apply one
coat, of Interlux InterProtect® 2000 or Fiberglass No-Sand Primer YPA200 following the label instructions for
applying the primer and overcoating with antifouling paint. Apply two coats of Fiberglass Bottomkote Classic,
allowing for the appropriate dry times.
Bare Fiberglass - Sanding System: Clean the surface following the preparation procedure above for bare
fiberglass. Sand the entire surface with 80-grit sandpaper until a flat matte finish is obtained. Wipe the sanding
residue off the surface with Fiberglass Solvent Wash 202. Sand and wipe clean. Apply two coats of Fiberglass
Bottomkote Classic allowing for appropriate dry times.
Bare Fiberglass - Blister Prevention System: Apply the InterProtect system for the prevention of blisters.
Bare Wood: Sand the entire surface with 80-grit sandpaper. Wipe the sanding residue off the surface with Special
Thinner 216. Apply the first coat of Fiberglass Bottomkote Classic thinned 10% with Special Thinner 216 or Brush-
Ease 433. Fill seams with Interlux Seam Compound 30 (if necessary). Apply two more coats of Fiberglass
Bottomkote Classic unthinned, allowing for the appropriate dry times.

General Policy
We work hard to provide you with the best value in product prices and shipping charges, and to get your order to you in a timely, safe, and convenient manner. Internet sales involve the cost of getting the product to you, and shipping carriers base that cost on the size and weight of the package, plus the distance the package travels from our warehouse to your door. We keep our product prices low, negotiate low shipping charges from our carriers and pass those savings on to you, and we don't charge sales tax (except for residents of Utah), so your order from iboats.com is the best value for all your boating needs.
Our standard shipping method is UPS ground, which typically takes 2-5 additional transit days after the order has left our warehouse, depending on your delivery address. We also offer other shipping options, including expedited delivery, and the actual delivery date will depend on the shipping options you choose.
Shipping to Canada
Most products sold by iboats.com can be purchased and shipped to Canada. Some restrictions apply to certain items, such as hazardous materials, over-weight products, and the method of shipping. Available product lines, shipping rates and fees may vary depending on the delivery address for your order.
Currently, iboats.com offers ground shipping to all Canada provinces. Our Canadian brokerage service accelerates your orders through the Customs clearance process and facilitates the delivery of your order through Canada Post or the best method based on your shipping address. We do not currently offer expedited shipping methods to Canada.
At iboats.com we want to simplify your transaction and give you a pleasing purchasing experience so you'll come shop with us again and again. We therefore calculate all the duties, taxes, and other fees specific to Canadian orders and show you the total landed cost of getting the order to your door. There are no hidden fees and will be no surprise COD charges when the package is delivered to you.
Order History & Tracking
We provide several methods to track your order and keep you informed of your order status and expected delivery date. After completing an iboats.com purchase transaction, an account will automatically be created for your provided email address. You'll receive an email from iboats.com Customer Service informing you of your new User Account and the many benefits it provides. If you don't wish to have an iboats.com Account with password, do nothing and your account won't be registered; however, you can respond to the instructions in the email and easily register your account and setup a password. This will allow you to sign in to your account by choosing the Order Status link from any iboats.com page, where you can browse your order history and track the status of all your orders - tracking numbers are displayed that link to the delivery carrier's tracking webpage.
If you have provided your email address during checkout, we will also email you your invoice, which includes a link for tracking your order and viewing the current status of your order. Refer to your invoice email and tracking link any time you wish to track the status of your order

Merchandise must be in new, unopened and unused condition with all original packaging in good condition; plus parts, accessories, manuals, and/or warranty cards included.
