All good including hardware
by Stephen from St. Anne, Illinois on September 25, 2016
Nice ladder welds are very good and steps are very strong. Hardware is fine just add one drop of oil to the nylock prior to assembly, they tighten easily and firmly. The mounting straps are a poor grade of stainless as they are rusted after only 2 weeks. Other than that it looks like it will work fine.

dock ladder
by Steven from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina on June 07, 2017
Your product looks very nice on our dock. It seems to me that the clamps used to attach the ladder to the dock has small screws? For heavier people using the ladder would you recomand additional clamps ,like U shaped clamps on the horizontal bars which "seats "on the top of the dock? Please advise Steven DeGarady

Great Ladder
by Travis from Warren, Arkansas on June 26, 2016
This is a great Ladder, was easy to install. It will make it easier for the grandkids to climb back on to the pontoon. When installing I added a 2" X 4" X 1" block of cypress on the underside of the aluminum decking to help spread out some of the pressure on the 1" fender washers that came with the mounting hardware. Since this ladder doesn't float, I am also going to install a nylon safety rope in case someone drops it in the lake. The only negative is the aluminum tubing does fill with water and takes a bit to drain. Other than that, a very s y and lite ladder.

the Quility could be much better
by Gary from Edinburgh, Indiana on September 07, 2016
My Name is Gary Waters I bought a 7 step Dock Ladder from I Boats. com IBoats was wonderful to work with. they sent a replacement ladder ASAP! You should have the manufacture of the ladder call me. My first ladder, I had to send back UPS damage. My 2nd ladder I had to send back. The welding was miss alined. My 3rd ladder needed rework done. 1. The welds are preventing the steps from correct assembly. 2. Quality control did not catch miss welded parts. 3. Sharp edges on the steps 4. The SS nuts and bolts lock up. 5. The bolt holes for the steps need to be placed back her. 6. I have pictures that show the issues

JIFF Marine 7 step folding ladder
by August from Ofallon, Missouri on July 25, 2016
I purchased a JIF Marine 7 step folding ladder to use on a swim dock and I'm very satisfied with the ladder. The ladder is well made and easy to attach with the included mounting hardware. The ladder is easy to remove for storage. The shipping was very timely from iboats. For my own piece of mind, I did attach a safety line from the ladder to the swim dock just in case I dropped the ladder in the water when attaching the ladder or removing it for storage.

Q:
Is this an angled ladder? If so what hte ratio top to bottom?
A:
It is an angled ladder. The ratio information is not available.

Q:
It wasn't clear to me, are the treated steps made of aluminum?
A:
The whole ladder is made of aluminum, it has anti-skid treads for safety. This is like the grit on the steps.

Q:
When the stairs folds up is it out of the water? What is the angle of the steps?

Q:
Can this be installed on a pontoon boat?
A:
This is a dock ladder, so it is not meant to be installed onto a boat. Here are the pontoon ladders we offer: http://www.iboats.com/Pontoon-House-Boat-Ladders/dm/view_id.236429

Q:
Could I mount this on my pontoon boat?
A:
This is not meant to be mounted to a boat at all. It is a docking ladder.

Q:
How deep does the 3 step ladder go from dock top down?
A:
From the top of the dock down to the first step it is 12", and every step after that is 12" as well.

Q:
For the 7 step folding ladder, how many inches below dock level are the hinges?
A:
The 7-step ladder is not a folding ladder. It does not have hinges, it simply hangs from the dock.

Q:
What is weight limit?
A:
It has a 300 lb. capacity.

Q:
Model ERR7 is advertised as a 7 step folding ladder. Where is the hinge point?
A:
The hinge on ladder ERR7 is 38 from the bottom of the mounting bar, measuring along the rail of the ladder.

Q:
What is the gauge of the 1"D SQ alum tubing AND what is the weight of the product? marykais@sbcglobal.net?
A:
The gauge of the tubing is 6005T-5 anodized aluminum. The shipping weight is 13 lbs.

Q:
Can you permanently attach this ladder to the deck?
A:
It is permanently attached using the J-hook hardware to the dock.

Q:
Can you mount this ladder to a concrete sea wall?
A:
Yes, it can be mounted to concrete, however, you will need to obtain your own mounting hardware, such as the screws or bolts. The ladder comes with hardware to mount to a dock, but it does not come with the hardware for concrete.
