Kasco De-icers come complete for suspended operation from a dock or boat in either a vertical or angle position. Angle operation by suspended method or with optional flotation unit produces an elongated pattern of agitated water. A vertical positioning produces a circular pattern. Kasco Marine offers an optional dock or piling mount. A Kasco De-icer may be operated in either a vertical or several angle positions. The de-icer may be adjusted to a maximum length of 10 feet from the mounting bracket. Kasco De-icers can be attached to our optional flotation kit to create an elongated de-icing pattern in either fresh or salt water.

De-Icer Portable Thermostat - Kasco Marine
Part # C-10 Kasco's NEW C-10 Thermostat Controller is designed to save you money on your electric bills. The C-10 differs from our existing C-20 Controller, in that, it only uses Air Temperature to operate the De-Icer. The C-10 is a simple and inexpensive way to save money and operate your Kasco De-Icer only when it is needed.
To operate, you simply use the dial to set a temperature in which you want the De-Icer to turn on and plug the C-10 into a standard 120V outlet. The Kasco De-Icer then plugs into the C-10 Controller. When air temperature drops to the set reading, the De-Icer will operate. When the temperature rises, it will turn off. There is a built in 2.5 degree Fahrenheit differential within the controller.
It is recommended to set the temperature dial at 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

Part # C-20 Kasco's C-20 Time and Temperature De-Icer Control is designed and engineered exclusively for outdoor use to operate your Kasco De-Icer with maximum energy conservation. How the control box is used will vary by region, but as a general guideline, most people will be able to reduce operation time and energy consumption by an additional 50-66%. Users in more severe conditions, such as the Great Lakes, will see less savings. The C-10 Time and Temperature Controller will save you money on your electric bills!

The C-20 Time and Temperature Control Box is designed to utilize BOTH the Time AND Temperature features. By utilizing both functions, you can save power by only having the De-Icer running while it is cold enough and in set time intervals. It is recommended to have the unit on in at least 2 hour intervals to set up a proper circulation. Each situation is different and the amount of time needed to maintain an ice free area will differ accordingly. Also, conditions do vary during the year so operation may have to be altered to fit the conditions. The timer pins should be pulled upward for the desired time frame the De-Icer should be set to run. The thermostat dial should be set to the outside temperature the De-Icer should operate. When, and only when, the temperature drops below the temperature the thermostat is set in a time frame that the timer is ON (pins pulled upward), the De-Icer will operate.
Part # 243485 Kasco Marine, Inc. offers an optional Universal Dock Mount or piling mount that can be used with any Kasco De-Icer. This heavy-duty Universal Dock Mount or piling mount is made from corrosion protected steel and stainless steel to withstand the toughest marine conditions. The De-Icer is mounted to the "underwater parts" of the Universal Dock Mount and the "above water" parts are mounted to the dock or piling. Due to shipping limitations, a 1" pipe extension needs to be supplied by the purchaser to connect the "underwater parts" and "above water" parts.
The De-Icer may be operated in a vertical or several different angled positions. The De-Icer may also be adjusted to a maximum depth of 10' from the above water mounting brackets and it may be moved 360 degrees. This allows for a variety of operating positions and is able to fit and adapt to many different situations and conditions.
Part # 213001 Kasco Marine, Inc. offers an exclusive, arctic proven flotation kit that is optional for all De-Icers. The easy-to-assemble kit consists of stainless steel components and a flotation block. The De-Icer unit is mounted horizontally to the surface of the water, just below the flotation block. The De-Icer can be angled in several positions; horizontal and above and below horizontal.
The horizontal operation of the De-Icer produces an elongated pattern of agitated water. This is well suited for tough problems such as shallow water areas, areas where water and ice levels fluctuate such as tidal waters, or where elongated open water areas are desired, such as around long docks. With adjustable angles above and below horizontal, the De-Icer can also be suited to fit many water depth and obstruction conditions.
Using a Kasco De-Icer with the Horizontal Float is also a great tool to improve summer water quality and eliminate stagnant water. It can also be used to push debris into an area that it is easily removed.
