Junk Dangerous Reclining Helm Seats
by Henry from Fitchburg, Wisconsin on July 14, 2014
Do not but these seats, they are junk and frankly dangerous! They are flimsy, the reclining system does not work, they will not lock in any position other than all the way forward or all the way reclined, and will pop out off position and fold all the back when faced with any backward pressure while underway. I almost lost control of my boat when this happened underway on plane, almost losing hold of the steering wheel. Yikes!!! Oh, and the mounting holes were off by about 1/4 inch which is another clear indication of poor manufacturing. Unfortunately, what I'm experiencing more and more often is that "Made in USA" really does not mean much anymore...

Poor Upholstery Work
by Mark from West Covina, California on May 15, 2017
I recently purchased 4 of these chairs in 2 configurations. 2 high back recliners with arms and 2 low back recliners with arms, both in all white. The chairs are comfortable but the upholstery work is average with puckers and pulls where the seams are not evenly joined. Unfortunately, the website photos are not quite representative of the actual product.

Helm chair
by Scott from Petersburg, New York on July 10, 2016
I love this chair. It's very comfortable, well built. It's very easy to get into and has many reclining positions to fit anyone. I highly recommend this chair to anyone restoring or just upgrading their seating. Also it is pure white which is hard to find in a good chair.

Nobody's Perfect
by Bret from Greenville, Michigan on March 03, 2014
The first pair of seats were tan/red instead of the tan/blue ordered. The correct seats were quickly made by Lexington and rush shipped to me at no additional cost two days later. The seats look great, are very comfortable and will be a huge improvement over the original Starcraft OEM's. It is not whether you ever make mistakes - it is how you behave after one has been made. I couldn't have asked for a better resolution.

Poor quality and worse customer service
by Douglas from Bristol, Rhode Island on July 22, 2017
I purchased a "new " set of helm seats , when I received the seats the packaging was undamaged however after installing the seats I noticed that 1 of the seats back was offset (leaning) to 1 side . At first I could not tell if it was the seat coven not installed properly of the back itself. This was not noticeable until I installed it on the base, I tried calling the customer service number but was put on hold for over and hour, then I sent an email with photos and detailed description, that took over a week to get a reply. After about 3 weeks of back and forth the only option for resolution is to send back the seat and have it repaired and they can not tell me how long the repair will take. Two issues with this 1) I would need to not only remove the seat but also the new base and reinstall the old seat and base leaving me with 2 different seats for an unknown amount of time. 2) I reported this issue right away and it was not something that happened over a period of time, I do not feel that having a brand new seat sent back to be rebuilt is fair resolution for this issue. I deal with quality control issues everyday at work , I work for a world wide company and never had a vendor ask to send back a brand new part to be rebuilt due to a factory defect. I believe the Lexington company is not customer friendly and to have both poor quality products and poor quality customer service. I did receive some help from your company (Iboats) but mostly just a buffer between the customer and the vendor, if I boats continues to sell the Lexington product line they should stand behind the product even if the manufacture will not. This will be the first in a long line of emails letting fellow boaters know that Lexington and I boats is a company to stay away from. I am now in the market for a new quality set of helm seats for next season and will not do business I boats again.
