Most boat applications automatically shut off the lights at a designated time. The DeckHand Dimmer Illuminated Exit system permits extra time in order to delay the lights from turning off right away. There are two options to choose from:
- 1 minute delay: will the keep the lights on for one extra minute. The switch must be flipped to an upright position and held in place for about two seconds, which will cause the lights to flash briefly. Release the switch after the flashing light ceases, and the light will stay on for an extra minute.
- 2 to 5-minute delay: keeps the lights on for an additional 2 to 5 minutes. Hold the switch in an upright position for no more than four seconds after you see the first flashing of lights. You will release the switch after the light flashes no more than five times total. You may release it after less than five, but do not exceed that amount.
The DeckHand Dimmer Illuminated Exit system hooks up to the battery, the light, and the Brightness Control unit. It is a straight-forward, simple-to-operate system that be nothing short of an improvement if applied correctly.
