While installing the wire to the left-side terminal, using a 1/2 rachet box wrench, the plastic broke all around the solenoid.I don't believe the lock washer was even seated and I was only applying two finger pressure to the wrench. when I removed the solenoid from the engine the solenoid fell apart completely. Return authorized and hoping the response is not "installer failure" as I have been working on machines for 41 years.

everything fit proper and seems to work. only thing i can say is be very careful when tightening the nuts down. i accidentally over tightened and fractured the cap. so just be careful!

Your product came quick and worked. Very satified. I made a mistake though. A week later and l honestly was paying attention too who l was ordering from I ordered a ignition for the same boat. (except i ordered from somebody else) Never again!!! I paid extra money for 2 day shipping and never got it for a week!! What was the point of me paying extra money for shipping when they did`nt even ship it for 4 days!!!! NEVER AGAIN!! This item will not replace the OEM# 89-96054 as stated in the description. The Sierra label on the box does not state it is a replacement for the 89-96054. It is however a replacement for the 89-96054T. These two parts are not interchangeable. I'm sure the Sierra part itself is good as is all Sierra parts I have ordered in the past. Just double check your part number.
