I bought it for my merc 9.8 and installed it with no problems. It comes with a piece of paper that shows you how to adjust the float on your carburetor. Fit in and worked perfectly. Only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is the fact one needed to be "adjusted" for float height and the metal peice snapped right off the float quite easily.
