Mercury Impellers

Looks just like the Merucry impeller that I replaced.

The impeller fit perfectly and looks like a quality part.

Received way to many emails on just one small oreder, must have received four or five.

Very fustrating that the shipping to send it back was almost as much as the part it self. Most likely will not be ordering from this again.

There wasnt an impeller for my 8 hp mariner around for 50 miles! I bought this one from iboats and showed up on my doorstep in 4 days instead of 9! It works great!

the impeller sent to me was defective. It was split at the key slot and opened up every time the shaft revolved and did not turn the impeller. Did not find this out until I drove to the lake and put the boat in the water some 20 miles away from my home. Had to drive back and tear the lower unit apart again, then discovered the condition above. Luckily I had 2 impellers shipped to me since the first one was shipped to the wrong address. The impeller I used had excess rubber on the bore and I had to scrape this away to be able to get the impeller down the shaft. After all this, I got the motor back together and was successful getting the impeller to work.

iBoats doesn't list this as a Tohatsu 3.4 to 5 hp impeller, but the Mallory online Catalog lists this as fitting both a Mercury AND Tohatsu engines. Since all Tohatsu parts are interchangeable with Nissan parts, this impeller will fit Nissan 3.5 to 5 hp engines as well. A visual comparison with the original impeller confirms that the Mallory 9-45302 is a correct fitment for my 2001 Tohatsu 5 hp engine. Perhaps iBoats will amend their listing for Tohatsu impellers, which is very limited.

im not a outboard mechanic but ive installed a few impellers. I could not get the key to fit between the impeller and the shaft. i had no problem putting the old one back in which unfortunately is what i had to do.
