New 2014 Moomba Boats
Moomba Boats, owned by Skier's Choice, Inc., is manufactured in Maryville, Tennessee(TN). The Moomba concept was born in the late 1980's while inboard boat costs were rising. Moomba was able to get a mold from an Australian towboat manufacturer, and in 1990, they debuted their first tow boat, the Boomerang. Moomba Boat's guiding principle is to "Keep It Simple", focusing attention on manufacturing a performance wake boat without the expensive cosmetic frills that are often part of a tournament boat. This objective helps to keep the pricing down while still producing a quality tournament performance boat in the American market with a great resale value.
The line up of new boats at Moomba features several options that enhance the boating experience. The bow has been widened to accommodate more passengers with both safety and comfort in mind. They have carpeting, which snaps in and can be easily removed for easy maintenance, over quiet fiberglass flooring that helps to keep the noise at low levels. Each boat has hand laid fiberglass to maintain a high standard result. Stainless steel accents help to make the wake boat from Moomba look like a top of the line tournament tow boat, but with a value price. Moomba has added the new Oz tower option that not only looks great, but is convenient and folds down below the windshield for ease of storage in the garage. Powered with the Indmar Assault 330 horsepower engine, Moomba tournament boats are designed to tow riders at all levels.
The main feature that wake boats are designed to do is to create waves in its wake. Moomba offers the Moomba Multisport WakePlate and Digital Cruise Pro to create great wake. Ballast, ranging from 1200 pound to 1800 pound using the Gravity III-D system, helps create the rocking curl for which wake enthusiasts are looking. The Outback model provides a wake table that is buttery smooth for slalom rides while the Mobius model churns up a big, even, beefy wake that will pop up your aerials.
