1998 Bayliner Capri 1950 cover
by Andrew from Ramsey, Minnesota on December 26, 2014
Having been through many Minnesota winters, I didn't want to take another chance with just a normal cover and something under the cover to hold it up. I went with the Navigloo product based on the simple setup instructions and overall design. I didn't have to worry about the 2x4 frame I had used in the previous years, only to have that one big wet snow that freezes solid the next day to cause it to fall in, or create a pool of water/ice and tear through the tarp in a low spot. I'm about 3 months into winter and it's working like a champ! Setup was easy, it helps to have 1 person on the ground and a 2nd in the boat to help with the assembly. I did run into some struggles with the main horizontal piece, but was able to make it work as designed. Just can't force pieces into place! I went without the tarp option to save money, just used a large tarp I had used before and that seems to work really good. I might have to replace the tarp in 2-3 years, but can do it at about 1/2 the price as wanted by Navigloo. I wish I would have seen this product years ago for a fishing boat, would have saved me $150 for a new canvas cover that couldn't stand the MN Winter.

Is there a guide to use for measuring? What measurement should be used, total length of boat including any stern motor, or platform/stairs, or just to normal back of boat?
Typically it's just total length of the boat. However if you have a platform you need to accommodate you need to include platform in overall length.
