Rule Automatic Bilge Pump 800 GPH 3/4" Port 12v

I had a manual bilge in my boat and wanted an automatic one. I installed this Rule 800 GPM bilge. It has wiring for auto and manual over-ride which was a feature I wanted. I debated at first whether to add a 3 position switch, but opted to just connect the auto wire direct to the battery through a fuse since I have a battery on/off switch. This bilge automatically runs a 1-2 second test where it briefly switches on to measure resistance (presence of water in the bilge changes this resistance activating the pump). This self test runs every few minutes so you definitely need a way to shut it off when the boat is not in the water.
