Are the 3 mounting screws in the same location as the screws on an mv-2? Can I use this one to easily replace a faulty mv-2?

Not sure if my last question got through, but I was wondering what the silver knob was for, and how does it work?i have bought a 1979 Cougar Custom jet boat, and the control seems stuck. When I try to move the stick, the silver knob moves a little too.?
When the silver knob is pushed in it is throttle/shift. When it is out it throttle only to help warm up engine at dock. It will not push in or out without it being in neutral.

Is this throttle/shift for my Sugarsand 2003 Calais jet boat? It looks like it. Also, my existing throttle gets stuck and hard to shift into forward and reverse. Will replacing this part solve my problem. Thanks It looks like the throttle. Also, my existing throttle ist?
This isn't for a specific boat. It is a universal remote engine control. It is dual action so it is a throttle/shift. You can use it for your boat but you need 33C type cables. If it's hard to shift you might just have to replace the cable. You will want to get it properly diagnosed for sure though.
