The most useful anchor you will ever own. This unique all-in-one anchor holds in a variety of bottom structures. The Mighty Mite anchor tine is malleable and designed to bend out and release from structure when the right pressure is applied. The tine or hook can be reshaped to use over and over again.

**Rope NOT Included.

I purchased the #8 Mighty Mite anchor for my 2005 Kenner 18VX bay boat which is a relatively light weight single hull boat. The boat is primarily used in coastal Georgia around black marsh mud and crushed oyster shell bottoms. I had been using the standard Danforth fluke-style anchor for the past few years and was getting discouraged with the multiple passes it would take to get hooked up. Well those days are gone. I cannot believe how much better this anchor grabs and without putting out much anchor line either. We hit about 7 fishing drops on the first outing with this anchor and not once did we have to regroup and make a second drop. My only regret is that I think I should have purchased the #5. I know the website says the #5 is for kayaks and jon boats, but I truly think the #8 is more anchor than I need for this Kenner. My plan is now to move the #8 over to the heavier Pathfinder bay boat and purchase a #5 for the Kenner. I'm done with Danforths. While growing up in coastal Georgia, my dad always made his own stainless steel hook-style anchors. He said they were the only style to use in the area. Old dad was right again. I don't think I will ever have much need for the bendable hooks, but I think the style of anchor is perfect.

Great Fast Bite! It is the best anchor I have ever used. Now I must add that I have a 18.5 Bay Craft Bay/Flats boat that I use in the inter coastal waterway in NC/SC and in inlets and feeder rivers and streams. I have not used it in the ocean yet. Mighty Mite produces a instant bite with no issues, all you do is drop and move on to the next task. It does it's job every time.

by Ronald from San Antonio, Texas on May 31, 2012
I had previously written iboats and called your 800 # as well and have received no response whatsoever except the receipt of additional offers and this product review. The anchor works well however it's bigger than necessary to provide adequate anchoring for my 22' boat thus a true headache to store. I ordered this size based on the recommendation listed for a 22' to 28' boat listed on your web page and on the anchor. The shipping packaging arrived broken with holes in the sides. As a result, four (4) of the rubber tips protecting the spine tips were missing. Because of it's size, I have to store it on the boat deck in a container to prevent someone from getting cut by tie tine tips and damage to my boat. I had asked on both of my original responses, including your customer contact line, for the replacement of the missing rubber tips but have not receive them or an explanation of why. Right now, I'm really put out with your customer service.
