Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarFull StarOnly chrome cleat with center attachment I could find
by David from Zimmerman, Minnesota on March 26, 2016
The only cleat of this type that is chrome plated I could find that mounts with two screws down the center like the ones did back in the 1950s. Looks great on my 1950s Crestliner. Would be nice if a couple long, co sheet metal screws and a couple long machine screws with nuts, all with plated heads were provided. Then I could select which to use for the application, and not have to find screws elsewhere.

Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarEmpty StarSeems Sturdy Enough
by Nathan from Howard, Pennsylvania on December 05, 2011
This seems like a nice solid little cleat. I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with the mounting hardware though. I bought four of these to put on my aluminum boat that I recently purchased that lacked cleats.

Full StarFull StarFull StarFull StarFull StarThe only chrome cleat I could find with center mount screw holes.
by David from Zimmerman, Minnesota on March 26, 2016
The only cleat of this type that is chrome plated I could find that mounts with two screws down the center like the ones did back in the 1950s. Looks great on my 1950s Crestliner. I needed center mount holes to mount to the center rib on the deck of a 1950s Crestliner - worked well with two co sheetmetal screws, same as original cleats were mounted. The only others of this type I could find were rough galvanized for docks and black plastic. Would be nice if a couple long, co sheet metal screws and a couple long machine screws with nuts, all with plated heads were provided. Then I could select which to use for the application, and not have to find screws elsewhere.

Full StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarEmpty StarUncertain Metal Composition
by James from Springfield, Missouri on April 03, 2012
The product packaging does not state 316 stainless steel, and the product itself has a strong magnetic attraction, unlike 316 (marine grade) stainless steel. The metallic composition of this cleat's is too uncertain for me to trust its security. It may be a lower grade stainless steel import, and hence the lower price.

The cleats are different- they look good and don't have any sharp edges to hurt a kid or a bare foot. I like 'em a lot!
