Good things come in small packages. Designed for quick installation, the SLT includes two actuators and two trim tabs to mount at the transom, with no components needed inside the boat. The difference between this product and other "automatic" trim tabs on the market: The SLT features the same quality materials used in Bennett standard hydraulic systems for more than 50 years. It is an affordable, simple solution for small boats from 14 to 20 feet. With the SLT, boaters can plane at lower speeds, improve their hole shot, reduce engine laboring, improve fuel efficiency and eliminate porpoising. The SLT reacts instantly to boat speed and water pressure by adding trim when it's needed. At slower speeds, when the boat is trying to get on plane, the actuators hold the trim tabs down, which lifts the stern and simultaneously puts the boat at planing attitude. On plane, and as the boat's speed increases, water pressure pushes the tabs up.

Your SLT kit includes: Two 14-gauge stainless steel trim tab assemblies with Bennett's exclusive interlocking hinge. Two strong and durable actuators. All stainless steel hardware - no plastic! Bennett's no-hassle 5-year warranty on all components.

Trim tabs
by Joan from Jeanerette, Louisiana on May 03, 2014
Trim tabs work good for the price I paid for them. I had to call manufacturer about issue with cylinders not being of the same angle mounting on the transom. They reassured me that it would be fine if there was a bind on the cylinder and there is a 5 year warrenty on them if they were to fail.

1974 Hydrodyne - approaching top end, the boat starts bouncing and the faster it goes the more it porpoises. will these lower themselves at 50+ mph to prevent this?
These react to the water as it is not a hydraulic actuator. On plane, and as the boat's speed increases, water pressure pushes the tabs up. So at higher speeds it will not lower.
