Springfield Marine introduced the Taper-Lock pedestal system in 1982. Since then, over One Million units have been sold!

The design of the Taper-Lock provides the most stable, secure, and versatile systems in the industry. The slight taper of the high-strength composite bushing matches the corresponding taper in the socket of the pedestal base, thus creating a snug, secure fit that can be disengaged as needed. To prevent turning freely, the Taper- Lock bushing features a locking tab which also helps hold the pedestal firmly in place.

The product works fine, The price is fine. The issue is thet Iboats charges Twice the going rate of Fed X Ground. This makes your products all over Priced. I might add the shipping takes much longer than it should. You also do not offer combined Shipping. You do this because you drop ship all your items and dont stock any of them. I would recomend to anyone reading this to shop elswhere and do the math.

2 3/8 Locking Trac-Lock Seat Swivel by Lyndon - Dresden, New YorkMarch 09, 2012
This is the exact same seat swivel that my boat came with, but for under half what it would have cost me from Tracker Marine. Wanted to add a seat and the cost from the manufacturer would have been over 500 dollars, got it from iboats.com for under 200!
