Star Brite Super Premium 2-Cycle Synthetic Blend Oil

I've been boating for more than 50 years and I guess I've used just about everything in TCW oils during that time. Based on a very thorough comparative analysis I read in 2011, I decided to order Star Brite and try it, so I purchased 2 - 2.5 gal. containers. Since the oil tank for my 1999, 225 FICHT was near empty, I filled it with Star Brite and headed out on a several hundred mile journey from Lake Erie all the way up to Grand Marais on Lake Superior. Now it's kind of difficult to tell exactly what a new TCW3 oil is doing in your engine, but when I got to my destination and pulled the boat out of the water, I could see a difference immediately: the normal carbon buildup from the exhaust in the propeller hub was gone! I clean that out every time I wash the boat and with the old oil, it always built up again within a couple of hours of use. With Star Brite, that didn't happen. In fact, as I went through the rest of the summer, I found I actually picked up about 80 RPM on my top end. Do I know for sure it was Star Brite did that? No, but I'm not going to take the chance and go back to the other oil either. I highly recommend this oil and intend to use it as long as I'm boating....maybe even pick up a 55 gal drum! That ought to get me to my last fishing trip!
