History
Text String, One of the oldest independent pontoon manufacturers in the nation, Maurell Products has been building Crest pontoon boats for over 50 years. In 1957 Maurice Schell built his first boat to fulfill a personal need; he enjoyed diving and required a stable platform to transport equipment to diving locations. Recognizing that many people would enjoy the stability and room of a motorized platform, Mr. Schell started Maurell Products. To this day, we specialize exclusively in building quality pontoon boats. At his passing in 1999, Mr. Schell left an experienced, independently owned family business in capable hands – with three top managers representing over 120 years of pontoon industry experience. Our goal is to continue to build the best pontoon boats on the market. As the Crest story moves through the next millennium, Maurice Schell’s legacy will continue to guide our tradition of excellence.
Warranty
Many items on Sunset Bay pontoon boats carry extended limited warranties.
Sunset Bay pontoon boats are not designed for use in certain large bodies of water. It is the boat owner’s responsibility to ensure that the boat is used properly, adhering to all safety procedures. In addition, all aluminum vessels being used in salt or brackish waters need proper protection against corrosion
All warranties and guarantees of Sunset Bay products are subject to the buyer’s proper use and care. Modification of Sunset Bay products unauthorized by the manufacturer or improper use of Sunset Bay products voids all express or implied warranties and guarantees.
The Sunset Bay Limited Hull Warranty and the Three Year Bow to Stern Limited Warranty are transferable.
