2009 Tracker Boats Grizzly 1448 AWL DescriptionThe all-welded TRACKER GRIZZLY 1448 AWL is perfect for outdoorsmen who want a rugged, no-frills jon boat that can fish and hunt. Its 20” (50.80 cm) all-aluminum transom is designed to accommodate a long-shaft tiller engine for easy control. This also leaves the interior wide open, so you have plenty of room for rods, decoys, jugs or anything else you need for your trip. Also inside, you’ll find a large bow deck, perfect for casting or bow fishing, which also houses a storage area. Both the bow deck and aft full-width seat have a pedestal base position for mounting fishing seats. The interior features a factory-installed floor, as well as a full-length longitudinal stringer system for even more durability and years of service. It also features our exclusive VERSATRACK gunwale, which allows you to mount any number of optional accessories, from a dog ladder to a tree snugger. Plus, it sports a Mod V hull for a smoother, drier ride than you’ll find on a flat bottom boat. Making this one of the toughest, most versatile and easy to maneuver hunting/fishing boats around.

Peace of Mind
My father loves fishing inshore inlets and freshwater rivers. He purcahased a Tracker Grizzly 1448 two years ago at the Bass Pro Shops in Myrtle Beach SC. He bought a brand new Yamaha 25 two stoke motor to power the the jon boat. Three months later the boat began to break welds. The manufacure re welded the boat. The welds then broke lose again. They then replaced the boat with a brand new one. The new boat had the very same issues within two months. Tracker marine revoked the lifetime warantee that they advertise so boastfully. What good is a lifetime warantee if they don't have to live up to it. I have spoken with many other Grizzy owners and it seems that the models that come with pre welded sub flooring don't have this issue. The modles with visible alumumum ribs seem to break welds in the flooring. My father's boat eventually broke all the welds and ribs in the floor. My father is 73 years old and I know that he did not abuse the boat. The boat is rated for a 25 hp motor. I would not recommend a Tracker boat to anyone. They will not stand behind there product. Tracker is the weld cracker.
