Triton Boats 1870 Bay Sport - Center Console Boat
New 2010 Triton Boats - Center Console
2007 Triton Boats 1870 Bay Sport Description
A smooth-riding bay boat thatís built Triton tough.
Leave it to Triton to create a totally new kind of bay boat, one thatís hyper-engineered to conquer all the extremes of bay fishing. When the wind howls and the going gets rough, youíll stay dry thanks to the 27-inch sides and high-performance bottom design. In skinny water, the forward-mounted fuel tank and 70-inch bottom mean an incredibly shallow draft. This 18-footer also sports an incredible 98-inch beam for maximum interior room and extraordinary stability.

I have had my boat for about a year now, second owner. I paid 18k for the boat, which was about 1500 over NADA, but it had the E-tec series motor which I love. Boat jumps right on plane. Ride is better than expected considering the 6degree dead rise hull and the fact that you can float this boat in less than 8" of water and a couple guys with you. It is super stable, the steering is a bit sensitive to trim angle, once trimmed out properly it frees up fine, otherwise it's a bit stiff. The hatches are big and so is the live well, and the hull is thick an stable. I have the 90 être motor and the boat does about 45mph with a light chop. I fish out of Panama City, just a few miles from my house and this boat allows me to be in the water catching fish in 10 minutes. The front of the boat is shaped so that it makes no noise from wave slap, however you may want to slow down a bit if crossing large wake or you make get some spray. I rate the boat 9 out of 10 for fishing and 8 out of 10 for cruising. Dean
