Varnish Wood Surfaces
What you will need:
- Masking Tape - mark off non-wood surfaces
- 180-220 grit sandpaper - sand early coats
- 320-400 grit sandpaper - sand later coats
- Paint Stripper - remove old varnish layers
- Protective Gloves - protect hands from chemicals
- Putty-Knife - can be used to remove old varnish instead of chemical stripper
- Varnish - choose a marine varnish
- Thinner - use according to varnish instructions
- Paint Pan - don't dip directly into the can of varnish
- Bristle Paint Brush - high quality, natural bristle brushes for a smooth finish
