Water Pump Impeller Kit for Volvo Penta - Sierra

This Sierra impeller kit is a replacement for the discontinued Volvo Penta kit part number 3862567, or new kit part number 21213660. Seems to be the same as the Volvo Penta, however, the Sierra kit doesn't include the tube of glycerine that's needed when installing the impeller (this can be bought for under $4 at a pharmacy or large mart store). It also comes with a rubber disc that's not included in the Volvo Penta kit. I called Sierra about this disc, and the tech there said it goes over the shaft inside the housing as a buffer. I don't know if it's really needed. Never used one before. If they would've included a tube of glycerine, I'd have rated it a 5.
