Hi, this is John with the Wise Company. Today, I'm going to take you through a typical assembly for back-to-back lounge setups. Once you unpack your items, the best thing to do is probably lay them all out. Get all your items laid out so you can quickly grab them and take inventory of all your parts.
I already went ahead and put three of the cross braces in. I'll just finish up the assembly. One of the things you want to take note is the top mounts are offset where the bottom mounts to the deck are going to be centered up on the side panel. The side panels are mirror images of each other, so just take note.
What I'll do is put these together. You secure these cross braces with your included counter-sunk fasteners. Lay it on its side. Flip it over. There you go - got it secured. Now we'll go ahead and secure the cross braces. Hold them tight. Flip it over.
Okay, now we've got our cross braces installed. That's probably the hardest part of this whole assembly. With our cross braces installed, we're going to go ahead and put our side panels on. Our side panels are directional. The bottom has a wide flange; the top has a narrow flange. What we'll do is line up our slots, push your base on, and we'll secure this side panel with these top blocks. We're going to use our smaller counter-sunks to go ahead and secure the blocks in place. There we go. That's side one, and then repeat the process for the other side - again, the wide flange going down. Ribbed side is the inside. Repeat the process by securing your stop blocks with your hardware.
Now we've got our base together and secure. Now, the top of the base has your two offset pieces here. The bottom where you mount your deck will have these two centered cross braces. What I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and line it up. I've already got my cushion set laid down in the correct orientation. I'm going to go ahead and remove these included hardware that go in the base of the cushion. These are T-noted slots. You've got to go back in that location.
What I'll do is I'll go ahead and put the base around and line it up. I'm going to hand tighten because I don't want to cross my threads. We've got four fasteners. Go ahead and hand tighten them. Number three, and your last screw. Number four.
Once you get them finger tightened in, go ahead and use your drill. We'll secure that and then the next step, I'm going to show you how to install it on your deck.
Now I've got the seat cushions finger tightened to the base. Now what I want to do before I go ahead and really tighten down these four screws is I want to go ahead and get the top lounge into the base, and that will help me get the alignment right. Now I've got the seat pretty much pre-assembled here. Now I can go ahead and tighten down the final four screws.
We've got out top cushion set mounted to our base. The next thing to do is install it on your deck. Really, the best thing is to have two people, so I've got Owen here to help me. What we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and pop the lounge cushion set out. This - having it open will give you access to your mounted - your bottom mount cross plates, or spanner bars. What we'll do is, with the help of your friend here, you'll mark your plates, make sure your location is carefully marked where you want it, and then simply lag it to your deck.
What style frame is on this model? My current seats have a frame that allows the seat to open front and rear of the base. Fully opened my seats are 73" long. Base is 14" wide, 11" high and 40" long. Seat height is 16" Seat Width is 20"?
The frame is a High-Impact Plastic Frame that folds down to lay on and is 64.5" when extended. This is a aftermarket so it might not match up exactly to your original. Here is the dimensions for this seat:
Seat Height: 28"
Upright Length: 45.5"
Extended Length: 64.5"
Base Height: 10"
Base Width: 13.5"
Base Depth: 36"
Can you send me some vinyl colors so I can choose the right one ? My boat is a 1969 Glasstron with white and Light Blue color . Would like a sample of the light blue vinyls you offer so I can match it up and order 4 new seats . Thanks?
Can I get the seats in complimentary off white, gold, beige or light green?
We don't have anything listed in those specific color combinations. We don't have any of those colors in this series, except maybe a sand color. You can browse all of our lounge seats and see if a various color combo may work for your boat: http://www.iboats.com/Back-to-Back-Lounge-Boat-Seats/dm/view_id.473666
My 1984 sea ray seville has seat bases fibergl to the boat. Will the seats themselves fit into the existingbox?
Since we are aftermarket we do not have original information, therefore, we cannot guarantee the seats will mount into an existing base. We can only guarantee it will work with the base that comes with it.
