Engineered specifically for racing enthusiasts, the FZR's NanoXcel hull is not only exceedingly lightweight, but it is also exceptionally nimble, offering precision high-speed cornering control and edge-holding capabilities. Complemented by a powerful 1812cc Super High Output, supercharged engine, the FZR boasts the kind of aggressive performance that has helped Chris MacClugage thoroughly dominate the 2009 APBA Tour.

2010 Yamaha Marine FZR Standard Features

Conveniently mounted on the grip, this trim system can be easily adjusted when riding, raising or lowering the bow to suit rider preference and water conditions.

Designed for the demands of racing, the NanoXcel hull generates superb predictability and edge-to-edge inside lean handling, making the FZR the ultimate in high-speed maneuverability.

The large analog dials quickly relay RPM and speed, while the look pays homage to the FZR’s racing heritage

Offering three distinct riding positions, the telescopic steering column caters to a style of stand-up riding natural to extreme athletes while providing an intense, low position that gets the driver even closer to the action.

The FZR is powered by a 1.8 liter, supercharged, super high output Yamaha Marine Engine. This 1812cc engine, which is purpose-built for the marine environment, is the largest displacement engine ever installed in a personal watercraft. It is also the only engine in the high-performance, four-stroke category optimized to run on the least expensive Regular Unleaded fuel.

Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI):
Throttle position sensor (TPS) and intake air pressure and air temperature sensors supply the optimum air/fuel mixture. The results are a smooth, high power output with low fuel consumption and low exhaust emissions.

Specially Designed, One-piece Cylinder and Crankcase Assembly:
Provides tremendous engine rigidity that's lighter and stiffer than two-piece designs.

Slant Detection Switch:
Electronic switch stops engine and oil pumps immediately if watercraft becomes overturned, protecting motor from unwanted water ingestion.
